Scrub Fire at Daveys Bay Beach
On Thursday 4th February, Mt Eliza Fire BrigadeĀ attended a small grass fire on the cliff of Daveys Bay Beach. CFA crews from Mt Eliza and Frankston Fire Brigades were able to bring the fire under control quickly thanks to milder weather conditions.
The fire was believed to be caused by the use of machinery on a nearby property.
It’s a good reminder to be careful when using machinery and that even though there has been recent rain, the landscape remains dry.
10 Firefighters and 3 appliances attended the fire which started around 12:30pm.
