However, Planning Exemptions known as the 10/30 and 10/50 rule were introduced around 2011 to reduce red tape for residents needing to clean up their property ahead of a bushfire season.
As the warmer weather approaches, we urge you to check your BBQ and gas cylinder’s integrity before cooking a sensational meal.
A bushfire information session will be held at Mt Eliza Fire Station on Sunday 23rd October 2016 at 10:00am.

Some fire stations within CFA have what is known as “specialist appliances”. These are vehicles that serve a particular purpose for events or requirements that may only happen a handful of times per year. On Tuesday 16th August, Scoresby’s Fire Brigade attend Mt Eliza Fire Brigade with their Hose Layer.
On Sunday morning, Mt Eliza Fire Brigade and Mornington Fire Brigade responded to a call of smoke issuing from a Laundromat in Mount Eliza.
At 6.42am Saturday 30th July 2016, Mt Eliza Fire Brigade and Mornington Fire Brigades were paged to a machinery shed fire on Sunnyside Rd, Mt Eliza.
On Tuesday 12th July 2016, Mt Eliza Fire Brigade responded to reports of a tree down Northbound on Nepean highway, south of Tower Rd as wild weather lashed the Mornington Peninsula.
Mt Eliza Fire Brigade was at Bunnings Mornington on Saturday 2nd July 2016, for its annual Bunnings BBQ Sausage Sizzle.
Luck was playing on our side when Mt Eliza Fire Brigade and Mornington Fire Brigade were responded to a possible roof fire at Woolworths in Mornington at 9:30pm on Sunday 26th June.
