A bushfire information session will be held at Mt Eliza Fire Station on Sunday 23rd October 2016 at 10:00am.

If you are a Mount Eliza resident, we urge you to make all efforts to attend.

The 2016 fire season is approaching. Now is the perfect time to start preparing to ensure you and your family remain safe this bush fire season.

You will learn:

  • How and where bush, grass or scrub fires are likely to start and spread in Mount Eliza
  • The most essential decisions you and your family need to make
  • How to stay informed should a fire start
  • Tips to help you start or review your bushfire plan.

After the meeting, you are welcome to join us for a sausage sizzle and a tour of the fire station and our fire trucks.

FAQs

I’ve been before, should I go again?

Yes. Every meeting is different as every fire season is different. Local conditions, shelter options and emergency warning systems can change year to year. It also allows you to ask any questions or concerns that you may have to protect you, your family and your property.
