Meet Tom, The Newest Fire Fighter At Mt Eliza
Meet Tom, he has down syndrome and is the brother of Emily who joined the brigade in January 2018.
On a adventure of a lifetime, Tom got to experience a day in the life of a firefighter. From looking over the truck, making sure it’s all spick & spec, going for a drive in the front seat of the fire truck and getting to squirt some water though our remote control front-mounted monitor.
Once we arrived back at the station, we filled the truck up full of water and a fire call came in, where Tom got to watch the fire truck leave the station with lights and sirens.
