Shed Fire Blankets Mount Eliza in Smoke

On Friday October 27 at 2:33 PM our crews responded to a fire on Glen Shian Crescent at Mount Eliza. On arrival we found a large two-storey shed fully involved in fire.

With our firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, we commenced an offensive attack and contained the fire to the shed – stopping it spreading to the house and a caravan nearby. Crews from Frankston Fire Brigade also attended and we thank them for their assistance.

The owners raised the alarm by calling triple-zero (000) straight away. Their quick action saved valuable time and helped prevent further damage. At this stage the cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical fault. This is a timely reminder to always call triple-zero immediately in an emergency.
